An evening of word and song, revealing the long and
curious history of Devon’s anthem. Unknown variants of the ballad will be
reintroduced including one from Feniton in 1867. The evening is part of a four-week Devon-wide
tour recreating Sabine Baring-Gould’s Costume
Concert Lecture Tour which introduced `Widdicombe Fair’ to the world in
1888.
